Chile won for the first time the Copa América. This is a very important event, because Chilean people is very passionate about football, about nationalism, etc. The football is very important because people use it to forget all problems and get distracted, so till the moment Chile had a defeats history… is very sad that your favorite sport have a bad history, for that reason is good that Chile had wins the Copa América. Those players had changed the spirit of a nation.

Anyway, this is important for me, but not as could it be for others, because I am new in the football world, it passionate me, but I had notice that other people is so much passionate than me. However, had win the Copa América also have contras, in the football`s world this some nationalist practices get potentiated, and it generates hate, discrimination and superiority feelings. This is bad, and is sad that some people link a beautiful sport with those practices. It would be nice that we, in awareness of that, teach others to win without making those mistakes.

ONE of my favourites videos

One of my favourite video clip was made for the band Radiohead. I like this band because (apart from the blue song that all we know) they have song that are critical to the system in general, but they do not represent any ideology in specific and I like that.

This video, from the song 2+2=5 is based on the George Orwell’s books (“1984” and “Animal farm”, specifically). I like the style of this band; I  have really found very few bands in this style that makes so deep criticism. This song critic the industrial revolution and also the modernization process, that has  implied the simplification of the subjects, reducing them to the teachings that are imposed, to know nothing, to leave the science and the knowledge in the hands of someone else, and to accept everything as an absolute true, that is the contradiction of the modernization and the illustration. It is very good to find a criticism like this in a song, at least someone care about this xD

My expectations for this semester

Hello again! This semester! This semester is a little bored, I just have been take the subjects required for my career, they are six: English (so required), History of Chile, Quantitative techniques, Sociological theory, Statics, and Economy. I hope I can to pass all this. Like I said I did not take extracurricular subjects, but, recently, I am in the CECSO Commission of Environment, because I always worry about the environment and all those things like animals, trees, plants, and so on. And it was the opportunity to form part of something big. I hope this semester be full of news knowledges, and nice things.

The comunism`s revolution, explained from a tablet perspective.

My favourite piece of technology is my tablet.(My tablet is black ¬¬ not withe)

I did buy it in March of this year. I like my tablet because I use it to everything, I take notes in it, program my calendar, record the class, read my texts and favourites books, listen music, and talk with my friends, is very useful. As you can imagine, I use it everyday in every moment. Well, if I would not have my tablet, I would have to buy a million of books, would have to buy a lot of notebooks to take notes, would have to buy a recorder for the class, and my bag would grow a lot. I do not have a telephone, so I could not talk with them if I would not have my tablet, is a very important piece of technology in my life <3

Hi! my name is Rodolfo Mena AND I HAVE A NIGGA CAT, but everybody calls me Santiago, because I have some traumas with my original name. I am 21 years old and now I`m studying Sociology at the University of Chile, I like my carreer.

I was born in Santiago in 1994. All my life I been living in Santiago. I did study another carrer, I have a graphic designer degree but is only a technical degree. I worked during two years as a designer and printer, but I did not like it, because I like art, I like to design, but I don`t like to do this when somebody is stressing out you (a client or a boss, to be explicit).

I like music, theater, books, etc. I like every expression of art. I play piano and I`m learning to play guitar and violin. Also I like to write, to walk and spending time thinking.
